Riddell won the toss and had a bat losing wickets at 11, 22, 37, 96, 109, 114, 114, 122, 138, all out 143

Best of the bowling P Jaeger 4 for 46 J Hughes 3 for 16.  A very good bowling effort against the top side but they are probably the best bowling attack going around.

We had to bat well starting at 1 for 27 then we had normal top order collapse losing wickets at 35, 36, 47, 47, 95, 139, ending up at 4 for 146 with 1 over to spare.

Best of the batting A Billinghurst retired hurt on 33 N Morse 25 B McDorman 24.

Adam & Sqeak put on 48 with Sqeak out and Adam retiring not long after. Jaeger & Wattsy put on 44 and Wattsy & Wally got us home.

In the end a good win against very good side

B Grade v Rupertswood

We lost the toss and Rupo decided to bat. Waxo and Drummy opened the bowling and had Rupo 2 for 29 early. Dave bowled out and returned figures of 1/10. Pepe and Phil took up the attack, Phil bowled well and ended up with 3 for 37 off his 8. Jacques bowled fast and short and surprised a few bats, without getting a wicket. Pottsy struggled and ended up with 0 for 54. Rupo got away from us in the middle part after drinks and made 165. We didn’t start well and lost wickets at regular intervals. No one really stood out, with the highest score being 21 from Ricky Hay. We were all out for 66 well within the allotted overs. Not good enough with the bat.

D Grade v Romsey

We lost the toss and they put us in.  Matt and Ryan put on 40 for the 1st wicketbefore Matt was dismissed.  We were going along pretty weel until drinks.  After drinks we lost 3-12 being 4-48, but Fogs and Boyes steadied the ship putting on a great partnership.  Ryan made 33, Fogs top scored with 67 and Boyes also batted well.  We finally made 6-179 off 40 overs with Knooty also chipping in.  It was a great batting display with wickets in the shed which heped push the run rate up.  The afternoon tea was great as usual, thanks ladies.

We came out to bowl and we took early wickets  as we have all season.  All bowlers bowled well and the wickets were shared around.  The fielding weas good as well and we bowled them out for 109 in the 33rd over.  It was a great team effort and a big win for the guys as some games may have been called off.
