B Grade v Macedon
We needed to finish the year with a positive and this didn’t look like happening when we were bowling after an early tea due to poor batting again. We made 89 with Dave Drummond, Jarrod Bottemley and GSH the only guys to make any runs. Macedon came to the crease looking for quick runs and got them. Waxo dropped a catch early and Tim Boxall dropped one close to stumps both hard but should have been taken. At about 5pm, on day one, Macedon declared and we were back in batting again with a 16 run deficit. Again we lost an early wicket, Jason Roberts for 0. Pottsy joined Josh Smith and Josh looked like a man on a mission. He was smashing the Macedon bowlers to all parts of the ground. Josh was out for 49 and we sent in Jarrod Bottomley as a night watchmen, he batted very well and he and Pottsy got us to stumps at 2 for 62.
Second Sat started OK with Pottsy and Jarrod continuing well till Jarrod was out for 14. Pottsy got 42 with others batting around him. We were 8 wickets down at tea with Dave Drummond and Waxo at the crease. Wax and Dave put on a well needed 54 before Waxo was out for 31. Tyson then joined Dave and they put on 29 for the last wicket. We ended up 202 in front with about 3 to 4 overs before 5pm and then 20 overs for Macedon to try and get the runs. Again Macedon came out hitting but wickets fell at regular intervals. Macedon needed to win outright so they just kept on trying to hit everything and played into our hands. We ended up bowling them out for 128 with 4 or so overs left. We had won our second game for the season, even if it was to reverse an outright. A great effort by the bowlers. Tim bowled well getting 1 for 39. Pottsy got 1 as did Dave drummond, Tyson got 1 and Waxo ended up with 5. Bridgey continued to field well, as he has done all year taking 2 great catches and getting a run out after a miss field which the Macedon crowd cheered about then went silent when he threw the stumps down. Bridgy wasn’t so silent!!
Great end to a very long season. Thanks to all the boys that played this year and good luck to those playing finals.

D Grade v Blackwood
We won the toss and batted in perfect conditions. Anderson and Rossy put on 120 for the 1st wicket with Rossy going out for 44, so it was a perfect start. Fogs came in and continued the runfest putting on 163 with Anderson for the 2nd wicket, before Fogs was out for 63. Anderson made another big score, 2 games in a row, eventually going out for 166 with the score at 3/291. Jason ran himself out for 6 and Jacko getting a start. Cam and Chris came out and put a solid partnership together to make the score 5/392 with Cam 33 no and Chris 46 no. It was a great batting performance.
We came out with the ball and started slow but started to pick it up as all bowlers bowled well. Best of the bowlers was Anderson 3/25 off 12 overs, Kyle had 2/0 of 1 over. Knotty also took 2 wickets and his fielding and catching was spot on. We were getting wickets often with the score on 9/130 but the last pair toughed it out and they finished on 9/230 off 75 overs.
It was a good hit out for the boys going into finals.

F Grade vs Romsey
F Grade played Romsey with the winner finishing in the top 4 and after losing the toss we were invited to field. We opened up with Bob and Mabo and got off to a decent start having them 2/18. A few partnerships got going for them taking them to 5/135. We finally bowled them out for 198 in the 63rd over. This could have been a lot less if we managed to hold some very easy catches that we put down. All of the bowlers used got a wicket with the pick being Mabo 4/43
On the 2nd day we opened up with Tremor and Bob and they got us to 23 with Tremor out for 14. For some reason none of the next 4 batters wanted to be out in the middle with Bob who were all out for zero leaving us 5/28. Tim Attard joined Bob who was next out with 11 leaving us 6/41 and Tim soon followed to be out for 4. This left Cam Attard and Powelly to try and restore some sort of pride taking the score to 70 with Cam out for 7. Powelly made 19 with Scrat not out 1 and Jordan joining the duck pond leaving us all out for 71.
Ultimately a very disappointing end to the season.
