D Grade v St Anthony's

We lost the toss again and bowled, opening with Boyes and Tyson.  Both bowled well in the conditions as was the case with all bowlers.  We took regular wickets which kept the runs down.  Dave Allen took 3/30 off 8, Kyle Fisher 2/31 off 8and had 3 catches dropped off his bowling and could easily have had 5 wickets.  The ground fielding was good but the catching let us down again dropping 5 catches, although Tyson took a blinder in the deep.  We ended up getting them 9/130 off 40 overs..

We came out to bat and got off to a flyer with Anderson and Wright putting on 50 off about 13 overs when Anderson went out for 36.  Wright and Ross put on a 93 run stand to guide us home  for a great win.  Wright was the star with 52 no and Ross 45 no and with 7 overs to spare it was a great all round performance by the guys. with a 9 wicket win.  The weather stayed away as well to get a result.

G Grade v Sunbury

The G's made the long trip to Boardman on a cold wet day more like you would find in footy season.
Having lost the toss and control of the game we bowled first.  The Furnells took the new ball with great success. Using the wind that was blowing directly across the ground Geoff swung it in and Daniel away. Danny Warr was back and bowled well in the conditions however the younger boys struggled in the wind on the day.

Tim again kept well and took a great stumping.  After being off the ground for almost 30 minutes our last over was a rush with the final ball delivered in a hail shower.

Chasing 114 with rain around we decided to get a move on and Brenton hit up a quick 25, 40 from myself and Tim Attard played well for 21 no seeing us home.

We got the points on a very tough day with good efforts from all.

Man of the match: Tim Attard

Complete Health Care Award: Danny Warr
