D Grade v  East Sunbury

We won the toss and batted.  We didn't get off to a good start with Anderson going early and we continued to lose wickets right through the innings with the top 6 not doing much.  Ryan Pretty made 36 and held the team together.  Jayden and Harrison put on 35to help the score to 8/122 off our 40 overs.

We had runs on the board and opened up with Ryan and Boyesy.  Bothe bowled well as did all of the bowlers with the wickets shared.  We had them 5/60 and we were right in th ehunt, but fell 2 wickets short and they passed us in the last over.  It was a great effort with 10 men for the last 10 overs.

F Grade v  Rupertswood

We hosted Rupertswood and for a change Hoss lost the toss and we were invited to bowl first. We opened up with Bob (0/9 from 7) and Mabo (2/29 off 7) who both bowled pretty tight with our 1st wicket being a smart run out. We got our 2nd wicket with the score at 52 and then a partnership developed with the 3rd wicket falling at 125. Some smart batting by them got them to 5/161 with the other wicket takers being Cobbie 1/25 and Strut 1/21.
After tea we opened up with Richo and Hoss with Richo out for 10 with the score at 15.Brenton then joined Hoss and took the score to 68 with Brenton out for a well made 25. Mabo in a surprise to many was next in at 4 and combined with Hoss to safely guide us home passing them 2 down. Hoss was unbeaten on 69 and Mabo 51 not out. A nice return to form for us but still with plenty of room to improve if we are going to be playing finals
